Reporting a Concern

REPORTING A CONCERN

Safeguarding is everybody’s business. If you have concerns about the welfare or safety of a child, young person or adult at risk, it is your responsibility to act on those concerns.

If you believe a child or adult is in immediate danger, you should contact the police by calling 999.

If you or others have concerns that a child, young person or adult may be experiencing, or is at risk of, abuse or neglect, you must report it immediately. Never assume that someone else will report your concerns.

You do not need to report a concern to Caldey Island before contacting the statutory authorities.

Concerns can be reported directly to Pembrokeshire County Council in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
